MY STORY

As I approach the end of my senior year of at University of Central Florida, I’m proud that I was able to solidify my career goals and learn how to be a problem solver, rather than the problem. I was able to find a path in which I excited to take on from here on out. With the knowledge inquired through Interdisciplinary as prepared me in applying to graduate school, specifically Florida Atlantic University. I’ve learned how to be able to work collectively with various people of all types of background, situations and ethnicity. Also my minor of human services has also help me to realize helping others it was makes me happy and what brings peace to my heart. This has inspired me to motivate and encourage me to implemented those same qualities into young children giving them guidance and direction. My experience as a teacher assistant, youth counselor and substitute teacher has impacted me in a positive way and also allowed me to recognize my strengths of working with children, better their future and creating opportunities for them as well as for myself.  I am a person who has used many of my relevant course work, skill and knowledge to create better opportunity for myself. Throughout my career, I’ve had the great fortune to work on some truly inspiring projects, while meeting many influential and creative individuals along the way. I believe in working together to create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. In my portfolio you will see how hardworking, dedicated and motivated I am, which helps me to stand out from most individuals. You will also recognize how interdisciplinary studies as helped me to think creatively and outside the box. I now know how to make a way out of no way, thanks to Interdisciplinary studies. I understand that it’s always room for improvement and I that I have to work for everything that I want and plan to achieve.
