Investing Time
Interdisciplinary studies has helped me to deal with young children of all ages and encourage, motivate and have fun with them. Before this major I didn’t have patience and I would rather avoid children, I’ve now enjoy them and they help me to better myself as farvas how I deal with on people and how to work together despite the circumstances. The picture below is an artifact that I save from volunteering with the boys and girls club at the aquarium.

CHEERLEADING COMPETITION
Teamwork makes the dream work
Since beginning my journey in this field, my dedication to the work and motivation to grow have led me to exceptional projects and experiences. This as been a great experience while in school and dealing with various challenges to have coach young. It’s a pleasure to say that Interdisciplinary studies has help me to analyze one bad situation and make this best out of it. There were ups and does but the ultimate goal was to ensure these children learned discipline, hard work and how to work collectively. I was able to learn these skills through my college experience and providing those same skills to these children were intriguing for me. These children help get me motivated and want to help children both academically and personally. Even though they are young we help them to understand they can still compete and be as good as the older teams. They are quick learners, open minded and also creative which in what interdisciplinary majors implement in their programs as well as their students.

HOMECOMING EVENT WITH HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI
Meet, Greet & Network
As an interdisciplinary student I’ve learned that you may need more than one person in one than one field to successfully complete a task. Thus when I did this event, I was anxious and excited to network with the alumni’s from Dillard High School. A lot of people that I meet where educators and really value where they came from and want to assist younger people reach their potential goals. This event allowed me to meet individuals from the same areas and environment that I grew up in. I got a chance to speak with them, dance, eat and get some insight on the field of education . Below is the picture of Class of 93’ from Dillard High School.
